"MUSIC CONNECTION MAGAZINE, EP RELEASE SHOW"

Material: Sabrina Taylor offers pop/rock that features sweet vocals and tight band chemistry. “Ferris Wheel,” an emotional and heartfelt song, has definite potential for country radio, while “Invader” shows promise on the pop side. Equally impressive were the rockers “Less Alive” and “Dancing Alone.”

Musicianship: Taylor’s band has a unique chemistry, and features several stand-out musicians. Morris’ five-string bass work is noteworthy, as are the harmonies provided by Emley’s keyboards and Ferguson’s pedal steel guitar, especially on “Ferris Wheel” and “Can’t Go Home.” Mesh turns in his best work on the upbeat rocker, “Less Alive.”

Performance: Taylor was totally at ease onstage, which showed in her excellent interaction with the audience. Particularly impressive was Taylor’s use of a cappella music to silence the talkers in the rear, as the audience shushed them so all could hear. Whether segueing from a cappella (“Farewell to Nova Scotia”) into “Can’t Go Home,” or rocking the house with “Less Alive,” Taylor showed style, grace and a mastery of both lyrics and music. Her choice of “True Colors” as a cover fit nicely with the overall consistency of her set, and spotlighted Taylor’s musical talents.

Summary: Sabrina Taylor is a versatile artist who is easily at home with country, pop and rock styles. Her songs are well crafted, catchy and fun. Nova Scotia’s loss is definitely our gain. Taylor should have a very promising future here in L.A. - MUSIC CONNECTION MAGAZINE

"LIVE SHOW REVIEW"

I saw a very entertaining performer at the Hotel Cafe on 5-02-07 - Singer/Songwriter Sabrina Taylor. I have to give Sabrina credit for her musical talent. Going in, I knew that she had a great voice, but I was made impressed with her ability on the guitar, too. She jammed out with her band for a few rock steady songs before putting it down and focusing strictly on the singing. And singing she did! Including my favorite song of hers "Can't Go Home". At one point during the show, she departed the stage and mingled with the crowd on the floor level. She even did a dance with an audience member, twirling her around like a scene from "Strictly Ballroom". Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious! Seeing a performer get off stage and be a part of the crowd at the Hotel Cafe was a first for me, and therefore, I give her all-due credit and praise. Kudos for Sabrina Taylor and making it a fun night filled with great music and cheer. - LMR

""CAN'T GO HOME" EP REVIEW"

"There’s a great deal of wannabe musicians running around Los Angeles with a guitar and a dream. Most of them should get back on the bus and go home to Kansas, West Virginia...where ever it was they boarded that Greyhound. Sabrina Taylor is not one of them.
Sabrina’s music is a little bit country, a little bit folk, a little bit pop and a whole lot of good stuff to listen to. The first track on the EP is “Dancing Alone”. A up tempo pop friendly track that should appeal to a wide audience. “Daddy”, the second track, takes a bit of a different direction. More country/pop, it’s a song about and absent father and missing that presence in her life. I dig the song. Very up for such a down topic. The title track, “Can’t Go Home” is a piano ballad that shows off Taylor’s singing ability, which is great. She’s got a unique sound with her Canadian inflections coming through. A pleasure to listen to. Last up on the EP is “Ferris Wheel”. This tune screams Jewel circa Pieces of You. You know me, I love some Jewel!

I dig this EP and am looking forward to hearing more from Sabrina Taylor. She’s got a great voice, great music and incredible song writing."
