Bio
Sabrina Taylor is a singer/songwriter whose music is both real and emotional.
Born and raised in Nova Scotia Canada, Sabrina began singing and writing songs at a very early age. Sabrina started winning singing contests and battle of the bands, which got her regular spots on popular Canadian TV programs such as "BREAKFAST TELEVISION" and "CHRISTMAS DADDYS". Sabrina also was known to perform at many local festivals including MUCH MUSIC BATTLE OF THE BANDS, THE WOODEN BOAT FESTIVAL OF MAHONE BAY, APPLE BLOSSOM FESTIVAL of Annapolis Valley and VALLEYPALOOZA.
Leaving the small province of 3000 people in the year 2001, Sabrina packed her cloths and fled the Country with $1000 to her name and two books full of poetry and songs.
She admits it was hard at first," I had never left Nova Scotia, and it was my first plane ride. There was no time to be scared or to really take in the overwhelming move. I just hit the road running and didn't stop. It was something I knew I had to do ".
Toeing the line between pop and country rock, Sabrina is constantly performing with her band as well as acoustic, and always seems to please her audience.
Sabrina writes about her own life experiences. "I write about what I am going through when I am going through it. Writing is my therapy - it helps me to get through the motions quicker and easier. I call it Pen therapy :D".
Sabrina has been touring the west coast for the past 3 years playing many great clubs such as HOTEL CAFE, THE MINT, THE HARD ROCK CAFE, THE VIPER ROOM, THE KEY CLUB, THE KNITTING FACTORY. Sabrina has also played many charity events in the USA, such as the American Cancer society and music conferences such as South Park music festival, and has shared the stage with Maple Music artist David Usher, The Novacks and Maverick recording artist Tyler Hilton.
