Sac Lunch

Sac Lunch is one of the most dynamic live bands in town and part of a growing new school of live Hip Hop acts. The front line consists of MCs Wattson, A-bex, and Alexander. Their styles are fast, fluid, and extremely musical. Their musicality is demonstrated by the fact that both MCs Wattson and Alexander also play horns in the group. The backline of the group, comprised of guitar, bass, and drums, is as equally talented on their instruments as the frontline are with their flows. They play mostly a mix of funk and rock and can be as equally funky as hard rocking when they choose. 9) Sac Lunch, Sac Lunch EP (www.saclunch.com). The rapsters meet the funksters in Sac Lunch, essentially a six-piece band with Watt$on and A-Bex taking turns on the mic. The group's only been around for a couple years, and most of its members are under 25. But their experiment shows a lot of promise, especially on the tracks that stick tighter to hip-hop and steer further away from the patchouli-smelling funk.
