Last week, we collaborated with CRED Magazine to bring a bunch of people on South Street a great show from Safari Dudes, a new trop-pop duo from our lovely town. Here’s some footage, shot by John Stish, of the group’s incredible cover of Aaliyah’s “Are You That Somebody?” - Philadelphia Area Music Showcase
The super stylish expressionist clothing store “Free People” opened up a Walnut Street location earlier this year. Today they are celebrating their six month anniversary of being open with food, drink, merriment, and music. Starting at 4 p.m., there will be food catered by a new restaurant on 16th and Sansom, Honeygrow, as well as drinks for all those who are 21+. And let’s not forget the music, ukulele-ists and sweet, sultry singers Safari Dudes will be playing at 4 p.m., followed by the doo-wop rockers, Market East at 6 p.m. And as a special gift from Free People, the first 25 folks to arrive will get fancy goodie bags with treasures and treats! Come on out and celebrate freedom. The event goes until 8 p.m. - The Key - WXPN 88.5

Bio
Roommates Cade Sadler and Ashley Dudek started writing music together in Summer 2012; just trying to kill some time in their South Philadelphia row home. Shortly thereafter, Safari Dudes was born. The duo's harmonious jams and mellow vibe make for the perfect driving mix. Try it!
The two will be recording their first EP this summer and releasing it in 2013.
