"Safe in Sound: à découvrir absolument"

(english will follow)
[...] AmusiA mixes wisely rock, jazz and trip hop music and the album was entirely written and produced by the band. The arrangements are impeccable, Emilie Lussier's voice is rich and dynamic and the lyrics are socially intelligent. The album was created with professionalism and seriousness, which makes us love it at the first listen, and we rediscover it at the second listen thanks to its musical richness. Bio

Safe in Sound started out in 2005 with the alliance of musicians Bob Millaire (drums) and Emilie Lussier (vocals/piano). The duo turned into a quartet with Gab Hardy at the bass and Martine Desjardins at the guitar. Along with special guests, the band performed several trip hop cover shows in Montreal and the surroundings. A mix of strong vibes soon emerged into a writing process, ending up as their very first independent album entitled AmusiA, with rock, trip hop and jazz flavors. The album was recorded in February and March 2008 at Red Rhino Records (Richie Vincent) and Studio Sanchez (Louis Martin), and mastered by Bill Szawlowski at Ventura Digital Audio. AmusiA was released June 21st, 2008.
