It was during his involvement with 99% Entertainment (Staten Island, New York) from July 1999 until January 2005, that he found his niche as an Intellectual Properties and Contract Paralegal. Sage began getting involved in writing contracts, party promotion, event planning, and artist development for Philip Clark, M. Ali and Gat Bush Born Kings. Writing and emceeing since 2002, Sage is Hip Hop culture reminiscent of Public Enemy or early Ice Cube (before commercialism set in).

Sage has worked with several producers and engineers in Virginia, Maryland, and New York including Troub, Professor Scratch, The Overlord Brunson Honeydew, Andri "Dreamy" Williams, Austin Humbles, Josh "Cubist" Tait, Greg "Groundwork" Weeda, Nick DeMartino, Garrett Morris, Dread Mighty Sine and Oblivion. Between October 2005 and September 2006, Sage recorded as a member of the underground Hip Hop Foursome Verbal Kin. Sage is currently managed by Carl Jackman of 99% Entertainment and is the Founder of independent label Shakara (pronounced shock-a-rah) Entertainment, Incorporated. He is looking to do open mics, internet radio and mix tapes along the East Coast.

"I am interested in protecting the cultural element of music by safe guarding the rights of the independent artist. We must unite to bring our specialties to the table so that we may preserve the cultural element of music. Because it is through music that the revolution will be sparked."
