Sage

The brainchild of critically acclaimed producer/writer Arun Shenoy and renowned guitarist/writer Sridhar, Sage is an experimental rock band formed in late 2010 whose music evolves from the dusty, heat and spice-soaked streets of India, blending seamlessly with ideas from the west. Sage is the sound of sonic wizards reciting the tale of a world of rock and roll, corporate whores, rasgullas, beer, people falling in love, being dumped, dumping being, and other celestial ideas. In no particular order. Our Sage preaches indulgence, and is holier than thou.

Hot on the heels of their solo careers - Arun Shenoy with his production debut for American rockers Tanadra, and Sridhar with the follow-up too his groundbreaking debut instrumental rock album Transcend, the duo teamed up to combine musical influences as diverse as electronica and heavy metal to create their own blend of alternative/funk/boutique rock.

Ram on bass and Australian Simon Hyett on the drums complete the Sage lineup, and are currently busy recording their debut EP.
