Bio
Khen Rotem, known by his stage name Sagol 59, is a Jerusalem-based hip-hop MC and musician. He has been hailed as the "Israeli godfather of hip hop." He has released 6 full length albums and has performed several times in the U.S and Europe, as well constantly doing shows as in his native country. Sagol was featured in several documentary films dealing with Middle Eastern and global Hip Hop and has collaborated with artists such as Matisyahu, Kool G Rap, Kosha Dillz and D.J Spooky, to name but a few. Sagol has performed several times in the U.S (including an appearance at the CMJ Festival), as well as in Europe and of course in his native Israel, where he performs regularly.
