Bio

Saij's sound is the music of Prince and David bowie getting funky in martian farm-house. Nuclear Soul.

When he was 16 years old, he heard that Prince wrote a song a day. From that day forward, he has done the same. While he spent most of his late teens and early 20's playing guitar and singing in rock and blues bands, he was going home every night to his little recording studio (just a 4-track and a microphone at the time) to write songs. His passion is the studio. His passion is writing.

Saij began work as a freelance Songwriter and Producer in 2003. His first album "A Circle Cherry", was self-released Summer 2004. This dark and brooding album feels like Urban Gospel put through a blender, and contains some of the best work by a North-West Artist in years. It is currently being remastered for an Mp3 release of the whole album.

Over the next year, in between small shows and math homework, he was spending most of his time in his favorite place, the studio; Co-Writing and Producing new songs with Jesse Espinoza for his upcoming release, "Everything For Amy", and for another local NW artist, Maria Webster (this chick is fly), and writing another album for himself, "The Acropolis".

"The Acropolis (released Summer 2005), is his second record. In contrast to "A Circle Cherry it has a more upbeat and vibrant feel. It is far more "commercial and shows his initiation into big time pop songwriting. It plays like a sonic blast.
