In the mist of her struggles she stayed strong and pressed forward by finishing college, not knowing that God had a much bigger purpose for her life. During her time attending school for her degree in Business Administration and Applied Behavioral Science, she performed as an R&B Alternative Rock artist, who was known as Saila. Years later after being born again, she realize through direction to mediate on the book of Psalm and prayer, that she was destined to carry the name Saila (Selah) that means pause & reflection on what is being said, with a similar meaning as Amen within the book of Psalm.

Through receiving sound ministry advice from many within the ministry, and also being inspired by the music ministry of Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin, the Clark Sisters, the Winians, Shirley Caesar, and Mahalia Jackson, Saila Rachelle began pursuing her destiny in the music ministry.
