Sailplanes comprise Stacey Hine (guitar/vocals), Tim Webster (guitar/vocals), Yola Rodowicz (drums) and John Scott (bass).
We play ambitious art-rock.
Our aim was never to make straightforward music for everyone to like. We try out different structures, time signatures and effects to keep boredom at bay. Music shouldn’t be predictable; we aim to draw people in. Our music is intense, noisy or not noisy, played with conviction and without artifice. We’re doing this because being in a band is part of our lives.
In 2011 we've recorded a new EP and been played on Tom Robinson's 6Music radio show, amongst others.
