"Lompoc trio wins Battle of the Bands"

The tracks on the band's first Extended Play CD titled "Speak Easy" are a culmination of the aforementioned intoxicating guitar segments laid over hollow percussion. The last song on the CD, "On My Way" - written by Jacob - lends a pleasant sadness to an achy melody. It's a tune sure to bring out the emotion Cole seeks. - Michelle Carter - The Lompoc Record

"Heavy Hitters"

"Proudly repping Lompoc, this psych-leaning trio seems poised for big things. (At the least, we’re certain they’re going to take Santa Barbara by storm.) Their sound is a varied blend of swirling guitar rock and dusty folk, and frontman Jacob Cole lays claim to one of those deep and restrained delivery styles that works well loud or soft, reverbed or effects-free." - Aly Comingore - The Santa Barbara Independent

Drawing influences from acts like Samuel Lightning Hopkins, Lonnie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson & Hank Williams, these tracks still manage to ooze with psychedelic fuzz. Speak Easy, is all in all a solid display of an Awesomely talented rock band and is a great demonstration of what they bring live. you can check out some of their tracks below, or over at their facebook, and be on the look out for any shows coming your way.

Bio

Saint Anne's Place is a 3 piece originating from Lompoc, CA. They've already begun to carve out a respectable reputation along the west coast. With heavy roots in and a fresh interpretation of the blues, they translate its rhythms with originality of invention, and a spontaneous energy that is balanced by their conviction to create music with a deep seeded hunger. The members are Jacob Cole, Samuel Cole, and Joel Martin.

Characterized by big grooves and infectious rhythms, theirs is first-and-foremost music to make you move, and they boast a growing catalog of original blues- and soul-rooted rock songs that proves it. Featuring memorable riffs, on-your-toes tempo changes and emotive hooks, each song provides a framework from which Jacob Cole showcases his tone-rich guitar playing, with his effortless ascents into skyscraping solos and psychedelic asides. If you're looking for a young band exploring the musical possibilities of the traditional power trio, make Saint Anne's Place a regular stop.

Recently having released their first ep ( Speak Easy ) this past April and worldwide on itunes, they are working hard and doing everything they can to get their music to as many people that will listen.
