Bio

Salad Days is a unique Burlington, Vermont- based rock and roll quartet. Described as high-energy folk rock, the band has been wowing fans since 1996. Winning accolades all over the States for their innovative sound and uncompromising live show, Salad Days combines composition and creativity with mindful musicianship to create a sound all their own.

Salad Days formed when singer-songwriter, Aaron Flinn collaborated with local Burlington musicians, bassist Thom Carvey and drummer Mahlon Gross. Built on this foundation, the next few years brought several personnel changes, ultimately completing the line-up with singer-songwriter Scott Mackey.

Salad Days has released three full-length albums, "Rattle," "Life of Riley," and the latest, "Flower+Bird=Butterfly." Outstanding reviews for albums and live shows, and regular rotation on 99.9 FM, The Buzz, and 104.7 FM, The Point, have led to a dedicated following. The band has also garnered three spots on local compilations, "Good Citizen Vol. 3." Big Heavy World's "Pop Pie," and The Women's Rape Crisis Center benefit disc, "No Secrets."

In 2002, the band's growing reputation landed them a spot at the Ben and Jerry's One World One Heart Festival, sharing the bill with Blues Traveler, The Samples, and Big Head Todd and The Monsters. In the late summer the band joined The Samples for a leg of their East Coast tour, opening a handful of dates.

In 2003 the band is a whirlwind of writing, recording, and performing. Salad Days is all over Vermont playing alongside bands such as Strangefolk, participating in the 2003 One World One Heart festival, and releasing the next Salad Days album. Salad Days is also proud to be named Vemont's Budweiser True Music band.

The potential is endless for Salad Days, and the band looks forward to reaching wider audiences. Dedication to their vision of creating quality music makes Salad Days one of the most important bands to watch for in years to come.
