Bio

G-Soul: n. 1. Compelling new sound bringing fresh R&B, soul and hip hop beats together with the renewing message of Jesus Christ. adj. 2. The music of innovative artist Salah; a man committed to touching the masses and breaking down the walls of denominations and religions by inviting everyone to Christ. G-Soul is not your Mamma’s Gospel!

Songwriter/Producer/Composer Salah (meaning Righteousness) was born in Baltimore MD. to a Palestinian family steeped in the Islamic faith. Through his wife and daughter’s invitation to go with them to church, he met and accepted his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, he transforms the funky sound of urban R&B into the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. His debut CD, Jesus 101 presents a perfect balance of Gospel and soul, sure to nurture the touched and inspire belief into any audience. Salah’s G-Soul fills the gaping need in modern culture to celebrate life and divine love in an often-challenged world.

The GMA’s professional song critics agree, “Salah’s music is what the industry needs now.” Inspired by the vocals of Stevie Wonder and Fred Hammond, Salah has built his reputation in the music industry by opening for Rob Base, Biz Markie, Teddy Riley and Donnie McClurkin. He’s been featured on BET’s “Rap City” and “1801,” a D.C. show hosted by 95.5 radio personality Michelle Wright. Salah has created with production team The Newton Twins (Miseducation of Lauryn Hill) and producer Rich Harrison (Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love”).

For the majority of his life Salah walked around in darkness. He found the light of Christ at Grace Church, where he served as praise and worship leader for four years before the Lord moved him to Atlanta. Now a faithful member at the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (where Bishop Eddie L. Long serves as Senior Pastor,) Salah’s fervor and drive to share the joy of serving the Lord with the world keeps him an active member of the praise and worship team, men’s choir, and drama ministry. Salah’s love and inspiration on earth comes from his beautiful wife of 12 years and his two young daughters.
