Bio

Sally Renee, the 23 year-old Chicago born and raised R&B singer/songwriter, is ready to take her place amongst today's greats in the music industry. Born Sally Renee Matthew, she first discovered her passion for singing at the age of 3. "I just knew then that music is what I wanted to do in life." "At a young age, my mom and I would watch the Grammy Awards and I would always tell her that someday that would be me on stage accepting an award with her sitting right there in the front row." With such a sultry and soulful voice, she captivates the audience both on recordings and live performances. Sally Renee is an artist who has been compared to such artists as Aaliyah, Alicia Keys and with the vocal strength of Beyonce.

Currently, Sally Renee is in the studio working on her yet untitled release for 2012. The album will contain a mixture of R&B, Pop and Hip-Hop to show the world her many different styles. Live performances, radio play, both college and syndicated radio will be in place for the promotion of her release, along with internet and street team promotions.

Sally Renee released her first studio album entitled "Return Of Innocence" at the age of 16. With singles such as "Everytime" and "Out Tonite," she quickly gained the attention of many as a young girl with a very powerful voice. Because of her melodic voice, she has been afforded many opportunities including being the opening act for many artists such as Mario, Lloyd, Fabulous, Jaheim, Tank, Ray J, Jeff Majors and Pretty Ricky. She has also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at several WNBA games for the Chicago Sky women's basketball team. Sally Renee has received several awards as a young vocalist including an award from former Illinois Governor George Ryan for outstanding achievements in that she had used her performing talents to raise money for charitable organizations such as the Salvation Army, March Of Dimes, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and numerous senior citizen organizations. Before the release of her first album, she was featured in Jet magazine. "At such a young age, this girl has an amazing voice and will definitely go far as a singer" -Clarence Waldron- Jet. Later, after the release of the album "Return Of Innocence" she received a feature in Vibe Magazine and also was nominated for Jet Magazine's Powerful Women Making A Difference award.

The anticipated release of her upcoming album brings excitement to Sally Renee in that she wants the world to hear her now with even a more powerful and matured voice. "Even though I'm only 23 years old my voice has become much warmer and richer in texture than it was just a few years ago, it's just like fine wine." 2012 will definitely be an exciting year for Sally Renee as she is prepared to release some of her best work yet.
