Saltwater Heelers is a three piece band based out of Honolulu, Hawaii with a diverse style of feel-good music you are sure to enjoy. With influences ranging from James Brown to James Morrison and Jack Johnson to Jack Black, the Saltwater Heelers bring a contagious groove rock with a Hawaiian flare and infuse it into the listeners’ minds.

Saltwater Heelers is led by James Logan Cole who released his first album in 2008. In his latest project, he sought out musicians who shared the same passion for surf, soul, and sounds that were critical components to establishing the band’s chemistry and stage presence. Each member of Saltwater Heelers brings over 10 years of experience from previous bands, including some that have toured and recorded throughout the United States and United Kingdom. The value of touring and appealing to audiences in a variety of venues around the world helped develop the band’s unique sound and introduced the caliber of musicianship appreciated by all who come within earshot of this entertaining group.

Specific examples of Saltwater Heelers member’s experiences include headlining the Kona Brewers Festival in 2003 and 2004 as well as performing with breakthrough artists Port O’Brien on their first European tour. This tour included performances at Britain’s premier music venues and festivals and opportunities to open for legendary acts like Modest Mouse. Other members have had the honor and pleasure of opening for major acts including Little Feat, Merle Haggard, Leftover Salmon, Umphrey’s McGee, Greg Kihn Band, Seth Freeman Band, and Shana Morrison.

The diverse experience of each of the band members helps create the original sound and earns the audience’s attention and respect. The Saltwater Heelers value the opportunity to reach new listeners and take their relationship with fans seriously through embracing every success, every struggle, every song, and every performance. The Saltwater Heelers’ appeal to their fans is best shown with a drink in one hand and the other open and eager to shake yours. Their personal approach and laid back style are a welcome addition to today’s social, political, and economic climate.
