Bio

Los Salvadores combine traditional folk music with a wide range of orchestral and theatrical influences. Their line-up includes French horn, violin, accordion, acoustic guitar and a newly acquired cellist, as well as 4 part vocal harmonies. Based in Kent, many of the band's songs draw on their home county’s rich history and folklore, providing a modern soundtrack to traditional tales.

In the last year Los Salvadores have shared a stage with the likes of Eliza Carthy, Jez lowe, Ade Edmondson and the Bad Shepherds, Tunng and Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo, and have performed at folk festivals up and down the country.

Their all-original set ranges from instrumentals to a cappellas and plainchant. Last summer they were booked for festivals including Crawley and Wessex folk festivals, and Rochester’s Sweeps Festival. Concerts for the upcoming months include a Kent based theatre tour and a sold out, self-promoted show on a 100 year old Thames sailing barge.

Their music has been played on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 6 as well as many folk stations nationwide.
