“Manalo has a great pop vocal and, similar to John Mayer or Eric Clapton, his love of the guitar drives his music,” notes Rye Room owner and producer Matt Greco. “Everything about the song is built around the guitar.” - Vortex Magazine

SALVATORE MANALO – RAIN: WINTERS ANTIDOTE
Posted on 17th December 2017
Through the impossibly competitive music scene of Portland, Oregon emerges Salvatore Manalo with his debut track Rain.
It’s a mixed bag of genres, but when you get to the bridge, putting a label on his majestic sound quickly floats to the back of your mind as you find yourself fully attuned to his sound. With riffs more fitting in Rock tracks this R&B Funk Pop enigma allows the track to flow with sweet unpredictability.
The entire ensemble is flawless, from the vocals to the instrumentals, the lyrics to the Jazz vibes that taint the track with poignantly upbeat symphonies. I’m really not sure how Manalo remains on the underground with such an array of talent. There’s a true narrative to his emotions which he explores through his command of rhythm. - A&R Factory

Bio
Salvatore Manalo was born on September 11, 1991, in the "suburbs of Portland," Vancouver, Washington. From an early age, he was uprooted and traveled the world as his father was a sailor in the United States Navy. Raised in church, he was constantly surrounded by music and fell in love with the guitar at the early age of 13.
During his high school years in Atsugi, Japan, his obsession with the instrument grew and was surrounded by musicians of the highest caliber, giving birth to his sound while also discovering his passion for singing and songwriting. in 2010, he moved to Boston and attended Berklee College of Music after being awarded a scholarship to further his craft. Around this time, he also began cultivating an online audience which now boasts over 15,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 2 million views total.
After a few semesters, he was faced with the decision to leave school and pursue music on his own in California.
Living and playing around SoCal had its moments, but it was time for him to come home and share his music with the rainy streets of Portland. Salvatore currently plays lead guitar for Low Key, Whim Grace, and Yard Gypsy while recording his long awaited EP.
