Salvimex

SalviMex represents THE URBAN MOVEMENT of the Latino Communities of Los Angeles. They write their own songs ("rolas") in Spanish and English slang. Members: Drastiko, Tercer Discipulo and Hypeman 9D. Juan M. Pacheco, aka Drastiko, was born in Hidalgo, Mexico. Drastiko studied Arte Dramatico at the Instituto Andres Soler in Mexico City. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, he became involved in Hip-Hip music through his community. Drastiko has been influenced by Rage Against the Machine, Cafe Tacuba and Flavor Flav. Roberto C. Gomez, aka Tercer Discipulo, comes from El Salvador. Tercer Discipulo has been influenced by Wu-Tang Clan and Eazy E. He recalls and reflects his roots, culture, country, and life experiences in his lyrics and compositions. Jose Cruz, aka 9D, was born and raised in Jalisco, Mexico. His main influences are the Latin Rap, like Cypress Hill, Kid Frost and Cartel de Santa. 9D met SalviMex in one of their performances and later he joined the band doing the Hypeman. Drastiko and Tercer Discipulo formed the dou rap team of SalviMex in 2000 and Hypeman 9D made it a trio in 2004. SalviMex representando EL MOVIMIENTO URBANO de nuestra Comunidad Latina.
