Bio
Been playing keyboard since 6. Been playing guitar since 14. Played violin for a few years since 13. Been writing songs since 15. Some music just seems to come to me. Sometimes I dont write it. I can't force a music so I usually let it takes its course naturally. And when I get it out of my system, it becomes a song.
All my songs are one word in title and will continue doing one word title songs. I used to like simple lyrics, words to express a feeling and will usually encode special meaning to the words that I use. I'm progressively writing songs that are more "profound" and much more meaningful.
"Jewels" was one of my very first songs made when I was 16. I was trying to make a song that can be "evergreen". "Waiting" was made when I was 17, driving home one day on the highway. I suddenly had the lyrics and melody in my head and that's how the song was crystalized. I thought it'll make a good "highway song". "Maybe" was made in 2003 but completed in 2005. I was banging on the piano out of frustration and the rest just came to me... "Rain" was made when I was 18 when I was really in a down mood. "Seashore" was made when I was 19 when I was asked to write a melody piece for a performance. "Message" was made only lately and it's a world peace song.
I have a collection of uncompleted songs and too much of those things that goes in my head. I do write piano instrumental compositions too.
Currently looking for a chance to step into the musical industry and always striving to crave a name for myself. Cross my fingers and hope those who hear my songs enjoy them. Hope you like my music.
I'm influenced by John Lennon and Julian Lennon for a period of time. Both "Imagine" by John Lennon and "Saltwater" by Julian Lennon are my favourite songs. Other favourite songs include "Must Say Goodbye" - Il Mare OST, "Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh and also a song by Dick Lee. Was also influenced a lot by Bon Jovi & Take That when I was in my teens, Michael Jackson when I was in my younger years.
What sets me apart from others is that I have a very high expectation for the music that I make. And I believe in "making songs" instead of "writing songs" because to me, there's more to a song than just being written.
As long as you "make songs" and do music, I salute you regardless of genre.
