Bio

An entrancing fusion of vibes... a display of true harmony... a tale of delicate fate...

They say you always find what you're looking for the moment you stop searching, and nothing could be truer fro Peterborough's Sam Ferguson. Born into a musical family, there was never a doubt in Sam's mind that he would follow the same path, however finding the right musicians proved far more difficult.
After many failed projects, Sam chose to stop investing his time in others and began establishing himself as a singer/ songwriter. It wasn't until after he released his debut album that Sam was introduced to guitarist Scott Garvey by a mutual friend and as luck would have it that same friend" Corey Hendren" was also a bass player. The trio soon after met drummer Tyler Tarkington, who was drumming for Robin Hawkins at a local open mic... The Sam Ferguson Band was finally complete.

Since their fate-filled formation in early 2010, the band has been operating like clockwork and - according to lick paper spreads and tellevison appearances have welcomed steady success. Working closely with Ferguson family friend, Andy Thompson, the band released their first single, a raunchy party rock anthem called "Oh Baby Damn" in March 2001 and followed by their debut EP "Out of Control" in November 2011.

Out of Control features a comprehensive fusion of modern alternative rock with rustic riffs, classic undertones, and psychedelic effects, all laced with a brand of energy reserved for the young and reckless and presented in an explosive live set that currently attracts an average of 300 fans per show. Out of Control was voted "best album" at Peterborough's own "Wire Awards" and the band also received nomination for "best rock band" Also having proven such a steadfast creative competence within their short 2 years on the scene they have already gone to share stages with major acts such as My darkest Days, The Trews, Big Sugar, Arkells and Hollerado to name a few.

Highlights:

Sam Ferguson Band has shared the stage with many artists including, The Trews, Big Sugar, Wide Mouth Mason, My Darkest Days, The Reason, The Arkells, Hollerado, Fozzy, Helix, and many more! Also winning award for best album at The 2012 Wire Awards.
