Sam Koon Band

In past years, Sam Koon is a name that has lit up every marquee in Carrollton, GA. Currently, Sam Koon is a name that is lighting up the northern and metro-Atlanta area and continuing to generate buzz across the southeast from Atlanta to Panama City. The band's most notable venues in the southeast include: The Masquerade, Smith's Olde Bar, Eddie's Attic, 37 Main Rock Cafe, and Club La Vela in Panama City, FL, just to name a few.

Throughout his collegiate career, Sam has played on a nightly basis at open mics, fraternity/sorority parties, and not to mention sold-out nights at the Irish Bred Pub in downtown Carrollton. His musical influences consist of artists such as Dave Matthews, Jimi Hendrix, Collective Soul, Guns-N-Roses, John Mayer, Aerosmith, and AC/DC. He gained experience and recognition while continuously writing catchy, hook-driven new material. During this time, he managed to attract the attention of fellow musicians that shared his passion to rise to the next level. The Sam Koon Band immediately grabbed the attention of spectators, who could not help but sing and dance along with the fresh sound they project.

Sam finished his 6 track EP in the early spring of 2011 with world renowned producer and grammy nominee,
Russ-T Cobb. Russ-T has worked with various artists and bands such as Averil Laveigne, Sevendust, Default, Bowling for soup, Korn, and many more.

The group is currently comprised of Sam Koon (Lead vocals, song writer, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar), Joey Feci (drums), Milton Torres (bass), and Chris Nunnally (Rhythm guitar, lead guitar, and back up vocals). The blending of powerful and captivating vocals, crisp harmonies, hard- hitting drums, smooth melodic bass, and heavy, blues-driven rock guitar gives the band a powerful southern/modern rock feel. Sam's uncanny niche for composing catchy lyrical phrasing, smooth melodies, and soaring choruses continue to take the band to new heights. The Sam Koon Band is growing by the day and continuously producing more commercially relavent originals that fans can not get enough of. Their fan base is continually expanding throughout the southeast, and Sam has always been compelled to connect with his listeners and touch the lives of everyone that listens.
