"We Bank on Eubanks"

We caught him the first time he played at the Black Diamond a few weeks ago. Elaine and I were talking to Steve, the owner, earlier in the day and he was afraid Sammy would bomb like so and so had a few weeks before. When we came back later in the night and the place was packed, Steve came up and said he wanted more bombs like this one. As time goes by and Steve hires Sammy several more times, he’ll become a fan of Sammy’s for more than just bringing in a crowd. He’ll get used to listening to Sammy playing great country and blues and rock and roll. He’ll be a fan like us and the rest, listening and dancing to a God-given talent every chance he gets . - Spokane Valley Scoop

"Riding Alone"

Country roots-rocker Sammy Eubanks will get and keep your attention from the first note - and hold you spellbound.

The Idaho artist's signature sound from his album "Ridin' Alone" is the title track. At 3:47, it's way short - by about an hour. OK, that's an exaggeration, but what's not to like here? The haunted, rootsy tune is punctuated by a snaky, wicked slide guitar and excellent instrumental solos throughout. Eubanks' baritone is rich and clear, never overpowering.

"Lookin' at Love" is pure country with its "high lonesome" steel and instrumental excellence.

Now, here's where it REALLY gets interesting: "Dancing Like a White Guy." Yes, that's the actual title. Without giving too much away, this little ditty is a hilarious "dance lesson-in-song" straight from the disco era that will have you rolling on the floor, howling.

OK, let's add "comedy" to Eubanks' genre repertoire while we're at it. This guy's got real talent!

"Best Local Musician"

The versatile blues, country and rock ‘n’ roll musician has a voice that goes down smooth like warm whiskey and his guitar licks will leave you wiggling for more. His three albums — Why in the World?, My Big Fat Blues Record and Riding Alone — feature a combination of soulful covers and original material.

But his recordings can’t capture the live energy, dedication and showmanship that Eubanks and his band put into their craft on stage. Their determined crowd of listeners travel to the Bluz at the Bend on Wednesday nights, Templin’s on Thursdays. And they’ll go wherever the band is sure be playing over the weekend.
