Sammy combines his love for the music of true Americana and country music icons into songs
of inarguable style and lyricism, expressing the life experience of a complex but determined
and hopeful soul. Supplementing this foundation is the production and rock “orchestration” of
guitar player and vocalist Peter Benjamin whose years of indie-rock experimentation helps create
a unique stylistic synthesis experienced by fans throughout the northwest and beyond.

With the dynamic finesse of young drummer Chelsey Wood and no-nonsense thump and rumble
of Shannon Feist on bass guitar, The Sammy Steele Band is set to release it’s first fulllength
album this Winter featuring 11 diverse tracks from the epic ‘Mustangs Run’ to the bitter
triumph of ‘This Ain’t Worth It,’to the breezy and funky ‘Let’s Take A Ride.’ The record will
also feature re-imagined and updated versions of Sammy’s original Nashville-recorded favorite
“Rodeo Rose,” a tribute to country legend Chris LeDoux, as well as ‘Friday Night,’ and
‘Outskirts Of Las Vegas.’

In addition to their original artistry, The Sammy Steele Band also thrills audiences with the
music of contemporary country and rock greats like Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, Willie
Nelson, The Beatles, Hank Williams Jr., Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Merle Haggard,
