The Sam Page Band was formed in early 2011 subsequent to the release of Sam’s six-song EP. After two months of intense rehearsals, they hit the ground running with gigs all over southern California. The band’s music is a mix of groovy, danceable tunes and powerful rockers. They currently have a set list of twelve original songs with more in the pipeline.
The pop/rock trio consists of Sam Page on guitar and vocals, Laura Cormack on bass, and Dereck Dempster on drums. Sam has been songwriting for years and thrives on improv guitar leads. He did fifty solo performances (mostly open mics) in the last year to prepare for his position as frontman. Laura and Dereck came into the band with extensive gigging experience, opening for such bands as Gin Blossoms, The Pretenders, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
