"Sam Pain Bio"

The music is undeniable. The age— almost unbelievable. 13-year old Sam Pain’s music can be described as two things, raw and honest. In an age of superficial raps and fanciful tales about a life you don’t live, Sam Pain instantly sets himself apart with a transparency that has been missing in rap for a long time. Growing up in the streets of Washington, D.C., Sam is wise beyond his years and although he is young, his musical presence rivals a grown man. With no father in the house, Sam took it upon himself to care for his mother, and younger brother and sister --- a subject he frequently visits in his music. Those experiences forced a young Sam to grow up fast, and at times, you will find yourself forgetting that you are actually listening to a child. With in-house beats solely produced by his mentor and manager, Church, Sam’s first project is cohesive and filled with thought-provoking themes, as opposed to the sporadic rhymes and random collection of beats we have become accustomed to. To think that a 13-year old could out-rap most adults is asinine- that is, until you hear Sam Pain. - RDX Recordings
