Bio

Sam Trocki, also known as Quest, is a passionate, unforgettable one-man band. His sound is infectious, electrifying, a smooth blend of crisp drum lines, jolting guitar riffs and hypnotic keys, all of which he not only plays himself, but also edits, mixes and masters in his own studio. His powerful, reliable, soulful voice lifts his music up to the heavens, and his honest, emotional lyrics speak of believable pain.

Sam grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and picked up his first instrument at age 10. He fell in love with music and the way it made him and others feel. Music transported him to a world where all of life’s problems seemed to disappear. Sam embarked on his personal quest to spread his music to the world. He played his heart out and slaved in the recording studio for years, sharpening his craft.

Quest has since collaborated with some of the industry’s most notable names, including Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Travis Barker, Jasmine Sullivan, Scott Storch, Rockwilder, DJ Skribble, Benny Blanco, B.O.B., Priscilla Renea, Lady Luck, and etc.

His music has also touched the Silver Screen, gracing Sundance Film Festival nominees Chasing Dora and Island in the Stream, produced by the teams behind Endless Summer I and II.

Quest has played up and down the East Coast, performing at well-known venues such as NYC’s Knitting Factory, CBGB’s, the Pyramid Club and Mercury Lounge. In downtown Philadelphia, he’s graced the stage of the Trocadero, and in the South Jersey area, the place he calls home, he’s played a whole slew of small, gritty, rock-and-roll bars, always to a packed house of real music lovers.

To date, Quest has self-produced and self-distributed 10 full-length LPs.
