Sanchez

Born and raised in North Philadelphia, Sanchez discovered the allure of Hip Hop music at an early age. In his teenage years, this child of Elizabeth and Angel  became involved with a dangerous crowd, leading to life-altering consequences. His passion for music was brought to a halt in high school, when he was forced to drop out, and soon after received news of his first born child on the way.  Sanchez navigated his way through dangerous circles, in a ricochet existence between the minimum wage grind and the fast buck, quick exit promise of street work. His vision through the mic, however, remained undeterred and tunneled. 

For a brief stint at the close of the 90's, he collaborated with his close friend, Voice1, forming a duo known as Gunz and Cannon. They parted ways in the early 2000's but remained as tight in life as in death, and in the past 3 years Sanchez laid this friend to rest. With tragedy a constant, Sanchez has used it as the fuel to drive his flair for phrase in every song; philosophical reminders of the futile existence found coming of age in North Philly. The opportunity to inspire his audience in their deepest, darkest hour, and the reality of the devastating effects of poverty and drugs, drove Gunz to reach deep and far with his lyrics and music. Sanchez's ascent began in 2014, with various projects, not least of which, as an integral part of the roster, with the indestructible REAL DOE ENTERTAINMENT.  His journey to success is a testament to the resilience of his entire team and the institution of Hip Hop.
