Biography

If life had lyrics they would be her words. Singer/Songwriter, Sandra Crede is a woman with many messages. She's a wordsmith who breathes life into her written words by giving them her voice. She has the ability to take life experiences and translate them into a simple rendering of emotion, passion and wisdom. Her songs are understandable, identifiable, with clear intention. Expect to easily relate to her stories.

What not to expect is another exposed-cleavage, bare midriff, hip-gyrating pop/rock starlet. Crede is a true woman with real life experience. And she has a lot to sing about with a voice that's meltingly sensual ... .and an unassuming style and beauty of her own.

Sandra Crede is an "organic" artist, in that she has never studied music (or any other art form for that matter). She began singing, dancing, writing poetry, drawing and putting on all kinds of pretend performances (for herself, friends and family) as far back as she can remember. Sandra Crede's ability for creating rhythm and rhyme with words is innate ... Her voice has a natural quality, carrying with it a sincerity that overpowers her lack of technical vocal skill. She's creates and performs instinctively. Her work is un-convoluted. To put it simply ... she's an honest artist.

Crede's first full 12 track album (fittingly) titled "Womanology" is an eclectic mix of Bluesy, Pop-Rock with a hint of R&B.

Songs on the CD include;

"All It Takes" - A sweet ballad about lost love, in which Crede shows vulnerability in indulging her soft and romantic side.

In "No One to Love" she croons about being abandoned, but ends up turning the tables on an unsuspecting cheating lover.

The beautifully written and sung "Life Goes On" addresses homelessness with both compassion and realism.

"My Wish" is an upbeat dance tune, sure to be a club hit.

Most personal and touching is the eighth track titled "Didn't you Know" a song which surrounds the recent loss of her father to whom the album is dedicated.

But whether its sadness, romance, compassion or straight-up bitchiness she's expressing ... all of Ms Crede's messages convey a truthfulness and vulnerability that compels one to listen. She's charming simply because she's believable.

She is the author/artist of a book titled "Journey through the Heart of a Modern Mystic." The book is a compilation of some of Crede's original, inspiring narrative poetry, prose, art and unedited lyrics, which honors life, love, nature, spirituality and the sacredness of human existence.

The wisdom in her lyrics ... rhyming of her words ... and simple melodies are translated by Ms Crede into musical messages that touch the heart and sooth the soul ... with a voice that carries a deep sincerity within the notes. She is a messenger for her generation and an inspirational role model in showing the world that pursuing dreams is a life long process.

Life Goes On (Sweet Mercy)

Written By: Sandra Crede

Reflections in the glass of abandoned storefronts

Years took their toll on her face and her mind

Too many times, her heart has been broken

But hey, life goes on

Mercy, sweet mercy, can’t you see her pain inside

Mercy, sweet mercy, for the girl she left behind

He asked himself a long time ago…

Why stay in a race that’s inhuman and cruel?

He lost the game, his job and his name, what a shame

But hey, life goes on

Ooh, Mercy, sweet mercy, can’t you see his pain inside

Mercy, sweet mercy, for the man he left behind

A broken heart, some shattered dreams

Promises made, that were never redeemed

A damaged soul, a mind confused

With nowhere to go, they’ve got nothing to lose

Ooh, Mercy, sweet mercy, oh, can’t you feel their pain inside

Yeah, ooh, Mercy, sweet mercy, Hey, for the ones we leave behind

Somehow they couldn’t make the run

But, she’s still somebody’s daughter, he’s still somebody’s son

Somehow they couldn’t make the run

The ones we left behind

Hey, Yeah, life goes on…goes on and on

Somebody’s daughter, somebody’s son, yeah

And life goes on and on and on

Boys in the Bar

Written By: Sandra Crede

When I came home last night

It felt so good just being alone, yeah all alone

Don’t want to hear about finding Mr Right

Crawled into my bed, unplugged the phone

Playing games with all those boys in the bar

Just makes me miss what we had

I’m staying here, and let them stay where they are

Cause alone don’t feel as bad

And, I’m tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of trying to be beautiful

For the boys in the bar

Yeah I’m so tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of trying to be beautiful

For the boys in the bar

A woman ain’t all that she seems

A woman is more, yeah a woman is more

The girls you see in the magazines

Are just a dream, you buy in a store

He said “Hey Baby what’re you doing tonight”?

“Let’s have a drink if you can” ooh, ooh

Thank you for asking, but I’m feelin alright

All alone, don’t feel so bad

Cause, see, I’m tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of tryin to be beautiful

For the boys in the bar, oh, ooh

Yeah I’m so tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of tryin to be beautiful, yeah

For the boys in the bar

Oh, oh, oh.My friend stopped by (the other night)

She said “Don’t you think that it’s time to move on”? (you need to move on)

But I can’t even find a reason, to try

I poured a scotch on the rocks and I offered her one

Tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of tryin to be beautiful, ooh

For the boys in the bar…Oh, oh, oh

Yeah, I’m so tired of tryin to be beautiful, tired of tryin to be beautiful

For the boy’s in the bar (playin these silly games)

See, I’m tired of trying to be beautiful, tired of trying to be beautiful Yeah, I’m tired)

For the boys in the bar, yeah, yeah

Don’t want to play these silly games. Does that make me crazy?

Line and moves are all the same

Tired of tryin to be beautiful…

Womanology

Written By: Sandra Crede

W is for wanting me

O is for Oh

M is for maybe

A is for always

N is for no

I’m a woman, a lover

I’m heart and I’m soul

A daughter, a mother

Your half, but I’m whole

Ageless, timeless, master and slave

I’m a child, a goddess

The rose on love’s grave

A dichotomy…Womanology

My philosophy…Womanology

O is for over you

L is for love-less

O is for over, over, over, you

G is for gone

And Y is for yes

I am used I am new

I am black I am white

I am me, I am you

Giver receiver, saint and a bitch

Believer, deceiver

I’m that and I’m this

A Dichotomy…Womanology

My philosophy…Womanology

So you want you leave a legacy

But your fortune was in loving me

And you’ll never have enough…

Without a good woman’s love

So you think you won the game

But my love for me remains

And since the day you set me free

I’m all, the woman I can be

A dichotomy…Womanology

My philosophy

Womanology Womanology

Didn’t You Know

Written By: Sandra Crede

I know that you stayed longer than you wanted to

It’s clear that you spent the time for me

I understand just how hard life must’ve been for you

Cause, silence isn’t golden when that’s all that there is

But, didn’t you know…you’d leave my heart in ruins

Didn’t you know…that time can never heal this wound

Didn’t you know…I never thought you said goodbye

And I need answers to all the questions that you left behind

Yeah, it’s hard to pretend that life is complete

When you can’t hear a voice or a word

Isolation, conversations, you were never really in

All the music and the laughter never heard

But didn’t you know…that I always understood

Didn’t you know…how much I still needed you

Didn’t you know, I’d feel so all alone

And I can’t believe you’re really gone

It’s so hard for me to carry on

How I wish you could come back home

Didn’t you know, I was still your little girl

Though I might’ve been grown up

You’re forever my first love

And they’ll never be another in this world

Didn’t you know…you’d leave my heart in ruins?

Didn’t you know…that time can never hear this wound

Didn’t you know…I never thought we said goodbye

And I need answers to all the questions that you left behind

Didn’t you know…

My Wish

Written By: Sandra Crede

If I could take back all the hurtful words I said

And feel the pain I caused your broken heart instead

Would you give me one more chance

And maybe try to understand

I didn’t mean to hurt you

I know I’ve made mistakes but baby, please believe

I realize loving you is everything I need

I didn’t know what I searched for

Was all I had and even more

I can’t go on without you

And baby, I don’t wanna know

What life would be like if you go

And if I had one wish to make

I’d be that you forgive me

I know I’ll never find a better man

My truest lover and best friend

Please let me love you once again

My wish is you forgive me

My wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish

I never thought you’d see me loose my foolish pride

But now I’ll prove this love I feel for you inside

And though it’s never been my style

To wear my heart upon my sleeve

Don’t want to live without you

And baby, I don’t wanna know

What life would be like if you go

And if I had one wish to make

I’d be that you forgive me

I know I’ll never find a better man

My truest lover and best friend

Please let me love you once again

My wish is you forgive me

My wish, my wish, my wish, my wish

I’ll make this up to you, if you want me to

My wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish, my wish

I don’t wanna know

What life would be like if you go

And if I had one wish to make

It’d be that you forgive me

I know I’ll never find a better man

My truest lover and best friend

Please let me love you one again

My wish is you forgive me

My wish, my wish (I’ll make this up to you, if you want me to)

My wish, my wish…

What Were You Thinking

Written By: Sandra Crede

What were you thinkin

When you got into her bed

Were you believin

That you needed her instead

What were you thinkin

Had you lost the better part of your mind

Now how’s it feelin that it’s time to pay the price

What were you thinkin when you told me all those lies

Must’ve been dreamin..

Did you ever even realize

Yeah, so you have what you wanted

But now she’s lost her appeal

And Honey what were you thinkin

Tell me how does it feel

What were you thinkin

When I packed my bags and left

What were you thinkin

Tell me, what did you expect

What were you thinkin

Did you even give a dam what you’d loose

What were you thinkin

When you made me a fool

Yeah, Baby, so you have what you wanted

But now she’s lost her appeal

And honey what were you thinking

Tell me how does it feel

You can’t make a right out of doin me wrong

And I’m not in the mood for forgivin no more

Tell me what were you thinking

Yeah, didn’t you see

I’m not letting you make a fool out of me

(So tell me are you happy now that you don’t have me)

Ooh, don’t want to hear you’re apologizing…

Ooh…don’t wanna, don’t wanna

So you have what you wanted

And she ain’t what you thought (don’t wanna hear no more)

Tell me what were you thinkin

And do you know what you lost (no more forgivin)

So you have what you wanted

But now, she’s lost her appeal (you won’t make a fool out of me)

Oh, Honey were you thinkin… And tell me how does it feel

No One to Love

Written By: Sandra Crede

Got no one to love me

And I can’t find you no where

Got no one to hold me

And not a sign that you care

See, I thought you were mine, but I was dreamin

How I hoped it was true what you said

But now I know I’m just a fool for believing

Cause it seems like you want her instead

Got no one to love me

And you keep lettin me down

Got no one to hold me

And I haven’t seen you around

Have you forgotten, what you promised

When you walked out the door

Have you been lyin, without a conscience

Or don’t you want me no more

Got no one to love me

And you keep lettin me down

Got no one to hold me

And I haven’t seen you around

How can you think that she’s worth

All the pain it will cost

Tell me baby, does she give you better lovin

Than the lover that you lost

Ooh…I’m the one who’s done all the crying

I admit that I am lost without you

But baby know, pretty soon, they’ll be no denyin

That you’ll be missin me too, missin me too

Ooh…no one love you

You got no one to care

Yeah, no one to hold you

And not a sign that I care, yeah, not a sign that I care)

No one to love you, no one to hold you (not a sign that I care)

Yeah, no one to love you, no one to love you (and not a sign that I care)

No one to love you like me

No one to love you like me (not a sign that I car

Ain’t Workin

Written By: Sandra Crede

Seven in the morning, dressed in Armani

Got your suit and tie on

French cuffs, gold cufflinks

And designer cologne

Get your briefcase and papers

As you walk out the door

Cause your work just ain’t workin for us anymore

Workin…Workin for the dollars

But it just keeps getting harder

Cause you just can’t get enough

Tell me what the use is, makin up excuses

I’m alone here every night

What the hell are you provin

All we do is scream and fight

You say that you love me

But work is what you live for

And your work just ain’t workin for us anymore

Workin…Workin for the dollars

But it just keeps getting harder

Cause you just can’t get enough

I know you say, I shouldn’t be complainin

Cause I got everything that you think I need

But what I want, you ain’t givin

And the way that I’m livin ain’t workin for me

Workin…Workin for the dollars

Workin and workin and workin

But it just keeps getting harder

Cause you just cant get enough

Workin…workin for the dollars

Aint workin for us anymore

But it just keeps getting harder

Cause you never get enough

Workin and workin

Workin…just ain’t workin

Workin for the dollars

And it just keeps getting harder

Cause you never get enough

Get enough, get enough

This is How

Written By: Sandra Crede

I live in yesterday

I wish for old tomorrows

I dream in colors of our world

And long for nights we borrowed

I lost us to a time before

Love could fill its destiny

The lies you chose not to ignore

Took you so far away from me

Oh, oh, oh…Our love remains unspoken

Oh, oh, oh…This is how two hearts are broken

It not about me leaving

Or that you’re with somebody else

That never really was the reason

Just an excuse we told ourselves

You chose to let me go

And so I wouldn’t stay

I guess we didn’t really know…

What else was there was to do or say

Oh, oh, oh…Our love remains unspoken

Oh, oh, oh…This is how two hearts are broken

It’s not about me leaving

Or that you’re with somebody else

That never really was the reason

Just an excuse we told ourselves

You chose to let me go

And so I wouldn’t stay

I guess we didn’t really know

What else was there for us to do or say

Oh, oh, oh…Our love remains unspoken

Oh, oh, oh…This is how two hearts are broken

Oh, oh, oh…Regrets were left unspoken

Oh, oh, oh…this is how two hearts were broken

All It Takes

Written By: Sandra Crede

The tears and pain

For all the love we claimed

Was all it took to set me free

My heart beat through the door

What I was looking for

You helped me find inside of me

And all it takes is just a broken heart

To realize all love truly is

See, letting go is kind

When we just know, sometimes…

That it’s the best we have to give

And all it takes to let love live

Sometimes a broken heart is all…

It takes to see the light

In all the love we give and make

Is all the love we held inside

Sometimes a broken heart is all

We need to make us hear

The silent voice within our soul

That calls our strength to shed a tear

I learned to love myself

For all the strength I held

Inside the pain the pain to say goodbye

I saw you hurting too

You didn’t think I knew

I’m not the only one who cried

All it takes

Is just a broken heart

To know there’s nothing to regret

We let each other go

Gave us the chance to grow

But, baby I just can’t forget

That what we had is still the best

Sometimes a broken heart is all…

It takes to see the light

I all the love we give and made

So we can let that love survive

Sometimes a broken heart is all

It takes for us to know

The one we truly love the most

We trust enough to let them go

As time goes by, will memories die

Will true love conquer all

Does out of sight, mean out of mind

Or will you miss me more

Sometimes a broken heart is all…

It takes to see the light

In all the love we give and made

Is all the love we held inside

Sometimes a broken heart is all…

It takes to let us hear

The silent voice within our soul

That calls our strength to shed a tear

And make us bleed

And face our fear

Sometimes a broken heart is all

It takes …….repeat chorus
