Lyrics

Come Close

Written By: Sandra Zuckerman

Come close for a minute
Slow down just a minute
Haven't seen you in a while

I've been missing your caress
Your warmth and all the rest
Now your back in my life

But do you know who I am
Can you be the one for me
I've done enough crying
Lying to myself
Now what's it gonna be

Chorus:
You think it's about holding me
Needs go deeper can't you see
Realness and honesty
What it takes to set me free

Heard it all from you before
Now you're knockin at my door
Can't seem to make up my mind
Is it gonna work this time

Why'd you have to go
The way you did
You took my heart
That's what you did
You left me wondering
What went wrong
It's been a while

Now I smell flowers
When you are near
Is it your energy
Is it the years
That we've been friends
I try to let you in again
I try to let you in

Chorus:
You think it's about holding me
Needs go deeper can't you see
Realness and honesty
What it takes to set me free

Heard it all from you before
Now you're knockin at my door
Can't seem to make up my mind
Is it gonna work this time

Bridge:
Show your softer side
Let me crawl inside
From here on out
Share your world

You can hold my heart
See the hidden parts
And that is just the start
Sharing my world

Chorus:
You think it's about holding me
Needs go deeper can't you see
Realness and honesty
What it takes to set me free

Heard it all from you before
Now you're knockin at my door
Can't seem to make up my mind
Is is gonna work this time (X2)
