SFT's first live show was also our 10th anniversary party.
Not knowing exactly what to expect, over 200 people jammed the El Mocambo on a Wednesday night to experience a hot summer night of our exclusive brand of "landlocked surf rock" - a self-invented genre capturing the energy and eccentricity of modern surf rock - but without any influence of the ocean.
The Treat has since played regularly in and around Toronto, and also staged some unbelievable events in 2005. We held an outdoor music festival North of Toronto. Our Harsh TREATment tour saw us jamming our equipment into tents in south east Ontario, and sleeping in the van behind the bar in the south west.
