Bio
SAN JUAN HILL delivers soulful, Afro-Latin Jazz and Hip Hop! Their Afro-Latin Soul mix flawlessly fuses rhythms and sounds from the U.S., Puerto Rico, Cuba, Africa and Brazil! Spanish Harlems own, Frank Diggz Rodriguez (Bass) and Brooklynite Chris Alegria Viteri (Congas & Percussion) cooked up an innovative sound to produce NYCs next wave in true music. The original lyrics are performed in English, Spanish and Portuguese. SJH pays homage to artists as diverse as Sade, Hector Lavoe, Erykah Badu, Rakim and BuenaVista Social Club with a San Juan Hill twist. The band fosters cultural and social awareness by celebrating the remarkable lives and the everyday struggle of people of color. San Juan Hill is a mature band with a youthful strut bringing a progressive message of mental and spiritual aspiration. A message desperately needed and delivered as an alternative to some of todays negative and thoughtless Pop releases. San Juan Hill is Music for Struggle, Love and Life.
