"Santerias World Music - Bosketches"

Santerias World Music - Bosketches Only in a multicultural centre like Toronto could a group like "Santerias World Music" come alive and thrive. With the release of their first CD Bosketches, Santerias is introducing us to their unique blend of Latin American, flamenco, reggae and jazz-influenced sound. Although the membership of the group has changed since recording the CD, the mainstays of the group are Juan Dino Toledo from Chile, who plays guitar and writes the lion's share of the music; Jorge Araiza, bass player from Mexico, Cristian Bailey, percussionist also from Chile and Jason Guerriere a Canadian who also does duty on percussion and drums. All 11 tunes on Bosketches are original and the band went with minimalist production and very little overdubbing to keep the recording as close as possible to their live sound. Although the majority of the lyrics are in Spanish, language is not an issue, because the group's energy and inventiveness cuts across all barriers. Cathy Riches - Downtown Toronto Jazz Magazine

"Live at Radio CBC 99.1 FM"

To promote the 2004 Ritmo y Color Festival at Harbourfront, we were interviewed and allowed to perform tunes from our recently released CD "Bosketches" live on Radio CBC 99.1 FM. This opportunity introduced us to the Greater Toronto Area and it's surroundings.
We would like to thank the CBC 99.1FM for their support and their continued efforts to promote our CD. Thanks!
