Bio
Sara Gougeon is a twenty year old singer-songwriter from Sudbury, Ontario. She writes indie-folk and alternative music. Gougeon is a solo act: primarily a vocalist who accompanies herself on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and synthesizers.
In the fall of 2017, Gougeon attended Folk Music Ontario as one of the 6 selected Ontarians for the Developing Artist Program where she would spend the music conference attending panels, showcasing and networking. Gougeon was mentored by Kaia Kater and had the privilege of spending several hours learning and collaborating with her, one on one.
Gougeon is a student of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, the world’s largest contemporary music college. Her major focuses on Songwriting and Music Business, with a minor in Music Technology Innovation.
As an alumni of Interlochen Arts Academy, she spent her entire high school career studying music and has been long invested in the world of the arts. Gougeon continues to play shows across Ontario and is preparing to record “Home Again” ‐ an EP composed of Gougeon’s original music.
