"2008 Best Overall CD"

I got caught up in a haze, Sara Haze that is.
How fitting another ' Sara '
Sara Haze, her CD ' The Ladder ' , like Sara Bareilles arrived in Jan. The similarties did not stop there. Both are amazing singer/ songwriters who perform regularly acoss the U.S. Both have the ability to deliver emotionally whether in a full or sparse production. Also like Sara Bareilles, Sara Haze has worked with exceptionally talented musicians to cultivate and present her talents.
One notable difference, Sara haze was 18. A Clear front runner for the Top Muse's Muse Award for
Best Overall Cd Project...

"Sara Haze Vocals..."

Sara Haze's voice is flawless. Her pitch never faltered and and her phrasing elevates her to the upper crust of the female singer/ songwriter set...

"David Wegbreit / Beach City Reviews"

What seperates Haze from any other too beautiful
songstress is ...by contrast she consistently
feels more sincere...

"CMJ / Sara Haze"

Before jetting off to los Angeles, Sara Haze made a stop at CMJ's offices in New York City to play a few acoustic songs for our hungry staff. I am sure playing in our offices is not exactly the easiest of tasks. Like past performers, Haze pulled it off like a pro!

"Artist Review"

When i first listened to Sara Hazes's CD
' The Ladder ' i was immediately strick by the depth of the lyrics on each song and Sara's soulful voice. She is certainly a talented young contender
in an industry that has come to rely on over production and glitz!

Bio

Following the January 2008 release of her debut indie CD THE LADDER pop singer-songwriter Sara Haze was invited to perform in Toronto at Canadian Music Week (CMW). At CMW she was joined on stage by Grammy Award-winning producer/songwriter Glen Ballard (Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews, No Doubt). Additional dates followed in Nashville, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, New York with an acoustic showcase at the CMJ offices, Houston TX for the Microsoft World Partners Convention at The Toyota Center Arena, the Popkomm fest in Berlin - Europe's largest artist and industry event. In July 2008, Troy Blakely, Senior Vice President and Managing Partner of APA in Los Angeles, signed Sara for national bookings and by the end of the year she had played over 100 dates, either with a full band (including an electric violinist) or performing acoustic sets.

Sara's critically acclaimed CD had steady sales on iTunes and throughout the year her music was also heard on national, international and web radio as well as placed in TV and movie soundtracks. By year's end Sara had also made Music Connection Magazine's 2008 Hot 100 Unsigned Bands & Artists list and Muse's Muse 2008 Best Overall CD Project In Any Category (a tie with Jesse McCartney), previously awarded in 2007 to Sara Bareilles. In between gigs Sara worked in the studio with producer/guitarist Eric Fraley recording her second CD entitled MY PERSONAL SKY that includes co-writes with James T. Slater and Justin Gray, to be released in November 2009.

In 2009 Sara continued on an extensive tour of the U.S. starting off as a featured artist at the 2009 CMW, 2009 Sunset Sessions: Presented by M:M Music with Radio & Records and KPRI, shows at SXSW (South by Southwest) and as a headlining act representing APA at the 2009 NACA Convention, the largest college market buyers' showcase, at the Grand Ole Opry.
