Lyrics

Lifeline

Written By: Sarah Crews

Tonight on the phone your voice sounded sad,
Still giving and grateful for all that you have
The clouds in the sky and the green in the grass
And a clear understanding that this too will pass.

Still you feel like you're drifting on a wide open sea,
No sign of the shore as you scan the horizon,
We are right here beside you,
We all heard you call
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline,
And all you've gotta do is hold on.

That big wild beast that took over you
Can't even touch the part that is true
You've got the force of the ocean
And that tide-pulling moon
To surround you and hold you and watch over you.

Still you feel like you're drifting on a wide open sea,
No sign of the shore as you scan the horizon,
We are right here beside you,
You are not alone
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline,
And all you've gotta do is hold on.

May you rest in the arms of the angel of mercy
In the palm of her hand may you know what you're searching for
Out here beyond the edge of your reason
Beyond the way back to the path you are leaving

And when it feels like you're drifting on a wide open sea,
No sign of the shore as you scan the horizon,
We are right here beside you,
We all heard you call
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline
We are sending out a lifeline,
And all you've gotta do is hold on.

Let You In

Written By: Sarah Crews

What a surprise to see you standing here beside me
I thought I was all alone in this place
I turn around and you are coming in my direction
That smile makes a cartoon of your face
Now we're standing in the moonlight
I can feel your eyes on me
When we were moving on the dance floor
You were all that I could see

Now you're sticking to my fingers
You got underneath my skin
You are all that I can think of
And I didn't mean to let you in
Let you in

This is nothing to get hooked on
It was only one kiss
We'll go back to how we once were
Just forget about this

But you're sticking to my fingers
You got underneath my skin
You are all that I can think of
And I didn't mean to let you in
Let you in

I'm not so good at complicated
Or this constant aching in my heart
If this is love it's overrated
It's already tearing me apart

My days are clouded with distraction
I keep tripping on my thoughts
It's just a simple chain reaction
One I don't know how to stop

And you keep sticking to my fingers
You got underneath my skin
You are all that I can think of
And I didn't mean to let you in
Let you in
Let you in
I didn't mean
I never meant to let you in
Let you in
How did you get in?
