Bio

Sarah Gayle Meech is a new-comer to the country scene. After spending many years in the Los Angeles rock world in bands such as "Cleaner," "Continue The Lie," "Uptown Lights" (featuring Greg Dulli of the Afghan Wigs), "Forty Marshas" (featuring Mike Malinin of Goo Goo Dolls), and local beloved L.A. classic country cover band, "5 O'Clock Somewhere," she is finally gone back to her roots with a collection of big hearted-honest-tell it like it is country songs! Growing up in a small logging town in Washington State, Sarah Gayle was raised on country western music and lived the country life. Some of her influences include Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Hank Williams Sr. and Jr. and the 3rd, David Allen Coe, Alabama, The Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, and Dolly Parton. Hunting, fishing, camping, horse back riding, and shooting guns were just some of the things her father taught her to do while growing up! So it was only natural that after spending 8 years in the L.A. rock music scene, Sarah was searching for a new musical outlet that better pertained to her upbringing, and she's gone back to her country roots! Currently recording her first country/rock album (with Texan indie favorites "Oliver Future" as producers) entitled "One Good Thing," which is due for release in January 2009. Many people have compared Sarah Gayle's voice to the likes of Loretta Lynn and Wanda Jackson. With her powerhouse vocals and honest lyrical integrity she is winning over fans everywhere she goes! Sarah's live performance is one hell of a show equipped with a power-packed band with some of the best players around (members from such great bands as "Supersuckers, Oliver Future, Bellrays, and Stonehoney"). Sarah has recently opened for Justin Townes Earle, The Donnas, Southern Culture on the Skids, The Legendary Shack Shakers, and Oliver Future to name a few!
