Bio

Sarah Golden is a New-Folk Singer/Songwriter originally from Houston, TX, who was born into a musical family.  Golden has been an active member of Houston's music community since the release of her debut album, "Truth" in 2002, which ultimately led her to becoming a top-ten finalist in the 2002 Kerrville Folk Festival's New-Folk competition.

Sarah was awarded "Adult Contemporary Song of the Year" in the 2013 RightOutTV Music & Video Awards, for her original composition, "Who Gives a Damn", and was nominated for "Female Vocalist of The Year" in the 2013 AbOUT Magazine's F.A.C.E. Awards.

In 2012, Sarah Golden competed on Season 2 of NBC's "The Voice", ultimately finishing in the top 36 vocalists in the nation on Team Cee Lo. She was also nominated for "Best Folk Artist" in the 2012 Houston Press Music Awards and "Best Female LGBT Artist" in AbOUT Magazine's 2012 F.A.C.E. Awards.

Throughout her career, Golden has played alongside such highly regarded artists as Amy Ray (of the Indigo Girls), Susan Gibson, Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines, Trish Murphy, Shake Russell, Edie Carey and many others.

In the Fall of 2012, Sarah released her E.P., "Sessions", which serves as a precursor to her upcoming sophomore album; currently being recorded and produced by Houston Roots-Music Icon, Jack Saunders at White Cat Studios.

Folk-lovers alike can catch her around the country during her 2014 nationwide tour.  In the interim, fans can also play along with Golden's "YouTube You Call Its", where she can be found performing fan-requested songs at random.
