Bio

Sarah Golden is a New-Folk Singer/Songwriter originally from Houston, TX, who was born into a musical family. Golden has been an active member of Houston's music community since the release of her debut album, "Truth" in 2002, which ultimately led her to becoming a top-ten finalist in the 2002 Kerville Folk Festival's New-Folk competition.

In 2012, Sarah competed on Season 2 of NBC's "The Voice", finishing in the top 48 vocalists in the nation on Team Cee Lo. She was also nominated for "Best Folk Artist" in 2012's Houston Press Music Awards and "Best Female LGBT Artist" in AbOUT Magazine's 2012 F.A.C.E. Awards.

Throughout her career, Golden has played alongside such highly regarded Folk artists as Amy Ray, Susan Gibson, Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines, Trish Murphy, Shake Russell, Edie Carey and many others.

Sarah's Fall 2012 release of the EP, "Sessions", serves as a precurser to her upcoming sophomore album, which is currently in the works.

Folk-lovers alike can catch her around the country during her 2013 nationwide tour. In the interim, fans can play along with Golden's "YouTube You Call Its" , where she can be found performing fan-requested songs at random.
