Still working on that hot first release.

Sarah's voice recalls the plaintive emotional purity of Emmylou Harris and Sarah McLachlan. Her songwriting influences include the storytelling of Lucinda Williams and Patty Griffin combined with rich ambient textures. A native of Rutland, Vermont Sarah Marzalek-Kelly has played piano by ear from the age of 2. At 16 she began to write her own songs. Sarah's first CD "Puddles of Mine" was recorded when she was only 17. Recorded in a mere 8 hours and independently released, it's immediacy and raw emotion made a quick impact. Several songs found radio play on Vermont's highly regarded WEQX 102.7. Gigs around New England and shows at famous New York venues "The Bitter End" and "The Sidewalk Cafe" quickly followed along with showcases at SXSW in Austin, Texas and the Philadelphia Music Conference. Expanding her talents, Sarah was hired to sing on a children's CD/Book. She was also commissioned to write a suite of songs for a production of the play A Turn of the Screw. At age 22, Sarah moved to a suburb of Philadelphia and threw herself into a rediscovery of her playing and songwriting.

More recently, Sarah has discovered the dance community. Several of her songs have inspired choreographers to create beautiful movements to her work. Sarah was a part of Kristin Sudeikis's "The Light Remains" An original dance concert production conceived, choreographed and produced by Kristin presented at NYC's Gene Frankel Theatre. It is currently in the works to head out on its 1st National Tour that will close in NYC. Sarah was also a part of "NYC for JPN" art, music, movement, and film. A beautiful benefit to raise money for the recent tragic events.

Keep and eye out for Sarah Marzalek-Kelly all around NYC, she likes to frequent "The Bitter End" as well as "The Sidewalk Cafe." Sarah is also excited to announce the release of her new album "Letting Go." You can find it on iTunes, cdbaby, or
