Sarah is more than a singer/songwriter and Worship leader. She is an authentic believer ready to share her faith and convictions through deep and meaningful song. Her passion includes reaching her audience on a more personal level with the hope of encouraging others to pursue Christ in a real way.

Biography

Sarah is only 19 years old, but God has already given her a lifetime of experiences. Growing up with parents in ministry, her years have been filled with lessons in faith. But not all of these lessons were easily learned. From a young age, God has used difficulties in her life to develop Sarah's wisdom and realistic view of the world. These life lessons became the inspiration for her writing. She picked up the guitar and began teaching herself, determined to reach others with a message challenging them to a deeper level of commitment and life-changing walk with Christ.
Her biggest influences musically include artists and writers such as Nichole Nordeman, Steven Curtis Chapman, and Brandon Heath. Sarah also attributes much of her influence to her 'heroes in the faith'. A.W. Tozer, John MacArthur, John Piper and many missionaries she's met on the field have helped grow Sarah's understanding of God's Truth. This is greatly reflected in her writing and the passion easily heard in her voice as she shares her music.
Sarah loves sharing her heart through discipleship and teaching as well. The Lord has laid a special burden on her heart for missions and adoption. Having been on several mission trips, Sarah plans to be continually involved in cross-cultural ministry and has two sisters adopted from China. She is also passionate about purity, identity in Christ and calling her generation back to Truth.
The message and experiences Sarah has to share make her a very unique artist, but her genuine love for people and desire to reach them with God's Word is what truly sets her apart. She strives to live by the verse Philippians 1:20, "I eagerly expect and hope that I will no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body whether by life or by death." Sarah's prayer is that God would be glorified through her life, ministry and music.

Lyrics

Under The Sun

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

Everything is meaningless, meaningless
A generation comes and goes, and over again
What has been is what will be
There’s nothing else for us to see

There’s nothing new under the sun
What has been, all that is to come
So set your eyes on things above
There’s nothing new under the sun

Eternity set in our hearts, in our hearts
To know the end is coming soon, bringing a new start
Does that change the way we live
Cause us to fear God and cling to Him

There’s nothing new under the sun
What has been, all that is to come
So set your eyes on things above
There’s nothing new under the sun

There’s one thing left for us to do
Remember our Creator in the days of our youth

There’s nothing new under the sun
What has been, all that is to come
So set your eyes on things above
There’s nothing new under the sun

Identity

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

I’ve been staring in this mirror far too long
To see what I can change to somehow belong
I hide the imperfections, cover up the weak
Until I like the person looking back at me

But if I am in Christ
Then that is where my identity lies
A new creation is what I want to be
So I will overcome these insecurities

I’ll take off the makeup, let the whole world see
Exactly who I am, with all the flaws in me
But with His grace sufficient, All I’ll ever need
His power is made perfect when I am weak

If I am in Christ
Then that is where my identity lies
A new creation is what I want to be
So I will overcome these insecurities

I will boast when I am weak
Let the power of Christ dwell in me

If I am in Christ
Then that is where my identity lies
A new creation is what I want to be
So I will overcome these insecurities

Ask

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

Ask, and it will be given to you
Seek and you will find
Knock, and it will be open to you
Don’t you know I’ll provide

For I am your heavenly Father
You are my sons and my daughters
I see all your needs
Just come to me

Your worries and all your cares
Won’t add a single hour
I feed the birds of the air
Clothe the fields of flowers

How much more will I care for you?
For you are my own
I will not forget you
You will never be alone

Seek first my kingdom
And my righteousness
Delight yourself in me
I will take care of the rest

Ask, and it will be given to you
Seek and you will find
Knock, and it will be open to you
Don’t you know I’ll provide

Be Glorified

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth

Each one knit together in a mother’s womb
Fearfully and wonderfully made by you
Our days were numbered before all of time
With purpose and plan for every child
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me
Behold, oh Lord, you know all things

So when we can’t understand
We’ll find rest in your merciful hands
And when all we can ask is why
Our prayer remains be glorified
Even now be glorified

Unexpected changes, hopes and dreams now broken
The pain of death bringing life back into focus
But you know what we can bear, how blessed to suffer
With hope that we will also share in all of your comfort
And these words we keep as treasure
Grace and peace is ours in the fullest measure

So when we can’t understand
We’ll find rest in your merciful hands
And when all we can ask is why
Our prayer remains be glorified
Even now be glorified

From the miracle of birth to the mysteries of death
Your will for us is completed in our final breath
And it’s hard to see in the midst of tragedy
But you’re never surprised, you hold all of life

So when we can’t understand
We’ll find rest in your merciful hands
And when all we can ask is why
Our prayer remains be glorified
Even now be glorified

Change

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

I’ve been building my house on the sand for a while now
The storm is on it’s way to send everything crashing down
I know all of your commands, but do I really understand
What I’ve learned and heard and seen in you

Does it change what I do
What I say
Who I am
Does it change what I think
What I seek
All my plans
Am I changed?

Is your word a lamp to my feet and light to my path?
Does the power of truth make me new, forgetting the past
And straining for what’s ahead, remembering all you’ve said
Am I living up to what I have attained?

Does it change what I do
What I say
Who I am
Does it change what I think
What I seek
All my plans

Help me take up my cross, counting all as a loss
That I may gain you

Let it change what I do, what I say, who I am
Let it change what I think, what I seek, all my plans
Let me be changed

Love Me Now

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

For all I know, you could be a thousand miles away
And I won’t meet you for another five years from today
But maybe you will here these words and write my name
On your heart just to be sure you don’t give it away too soon

Are you loving me now? (x2)
Are you saving everything for when we say our vows?
Oh promise me today you’ll do more than just wait
Will you love me now?

I’m scared to get my hopes too high but that’s something I won’t change so
I’m praying you will be the guy I dream of everyday
And I realize at times it’s hard and we’ll make mistakes (and you will…)
But I’m willing to push through if you will do the same so

Are you loving me now? (x2)
Are you saving everything for when we say our vows?
Oh promise me today you’ll do more than just wait
Will you love me now?

So when we stand at the alter it’s just me and you with
Nothing from the past to stain the words “I do”
When you stare at me in my pure white gown
You can say you’ve loved me your whole life as much as you do now
Then you can ask me, then you can ask

Were you loving me too? (x2)
Were you saving every precious little piece of you?
Cause you promised on that day you’d do more than just wait?
Were you loving me?
Like I was loving you

I’m loving you so love me now

Truth

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

It’s not what feels good to me
It’s not whatever I choose to believe
It’s not where the world draws the line
It was set forth before time
Who will find it in this life
Those who seek, they will find that

You are the truth
In a world filled with lies
If we look to you
Your words will bring us life

It might not fill every seat
Or tickle the ears of those listening
But it has the power to set us free
Giving new life, and light for us to see
So who can find it in this life
Those who seek, they will find that

You are the truth
In a world filled with lies
If we look to you
Your words will bring us life

The day has come when truth is traded for lies
False teachings just to suit a man’s desire
In and out of season we will preach your word
So the truth of the gospel is heard

You are the truth
In a world filled with lies
If we look to you
We will find

You are the truth
In a world filled with lies
If we look to you
Your words will bring us life

Don't Look Back

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth

It’s time to walk away and leave it all in this sinful place
Just put it all behind you, follow me and I will guide you
I know that you’re scared and you want to stay
But all you know is going up in flames
It’s and urgent call; there’s no time to decide
Leave now, run fast, flee for your life

Don’t look back
I’ll be the one you’re running to
Don’t look back
The best is right here in front of you
So don’t look back

If you try to save it you will lose
If you want to win then you’re ganna have to choose
No maybes, and no reservations
Just come accept my Invitation

Don’t look back
I’ll be the one you’re running to
Don’t look back
The best is right here in front of you
So don’t look back

Get ready, the Kingdom is coming
The finish line for those who are running
So focus your eyes on the prize
And remember Lot’s wife

Don’t look back
I’ll be the one you’re running to
Don’t look back
The best is right here in front of you
So don’t look back

We Danced

Written By: Sarah Elizabeth/ Stephen Leiweke

They laughed and said “You’re a little too young”
But I knew I was falling in love
When the music began and He reached for my hand
I looked into His eyes and He smiled

We danced
And He saw me through and through
He never stopped saying “I love you”
He twirled me around
And we swayed from side to side
I knew we would dance hand in hand
For the rest of my life

I can still hear those wedding bells ring
When I became a bride of the king
Dressed in His purity, in white
Time seemed to stand still that night

We danced
And He saw me through and through
He never stopped saying “I love you”
He twirled me around
And we swayed from side to side
I knew we would dance hand in hand
For the rest of my life

We’ve watched other loves fade but we’re together
Still to this day more in love than ever
But when things get hard and I can’t feel Him close
I’ll go back to the moment I remember the most

We danced
And He saw me through and through
He never stopped saying “I love you”
He twirled me around
And we swayed from side to side
I knew we would dance hand in hand
For the rest of my life

We danced
