About Me?

Why, yes. I was born in a little coastal town in the Outer Banks of North Carolina in 1988. It’s a pretty place, but anyone will tell you there ain’t too much to do ‘round those parts. However, music is more than just “something to do”… it’s something that was embedded on my heart. My first voice lesson was from a red-haired mermaid, whom I aspired to be for probably 6 years of my life (okay…maybe the last 17 years). Anywho, between Disney, classics like The Sound of Music, and of course Church, I surely found my ‘voice’. Throughout growing up I participated in Choirs and School plays and started piano, voice and guitar lessons from middle school and up till the time of college. My biggest joy is to be a writer of the craft though, because creating gives such a satisfying and invigorating feeling. It is the light that does not give out.

At the end of high school I had to decide what the next step for my future would be, and I knew there was only one answer: the arts. I applied to Berklee College of Music and was accepted to attend in the fall of 2006. I am currently graduating with a Bachelor’s of Music in Songwriting, which is a feat I am proud to have achieved. In college I really started on a good path of getting to know who I really am and what I really want out of life and my music. I have had the pleasure of working with so many amazing artists in the past few years—artists who have inspired me to seek my own advancement to higher levels. Now I know to expect nothing but good things from my future…I’ve been ruined for the ordinary!
