Bio

Sara Horvath is a Singer/Songwriter/Artist from Livingston Montana. She has traveled all over the world, and seen many beautiful places and people. She is happiest with nothing but a guitar on her back and a smile to carry her along so she can follow wherever the wind takes her. She will always be a Montana girl with the river in her heart and a song in her head. “For all that I have, I thank my family and those who have inspired me in only ways that a melody can describe.” Her favorite musician is Sarah Mclachlan whose voice has carried her through tough times. She hopes to do the same for others someday. Sara has sung since she was a little girl. She has been in choir every year since pre-school, and continues to sing with the Chamber Choir at the University of Montana, and The Sweet Adeline’s International chapter in Missoula. Sara Horvath has attended several choir camps, participated in voice lessons, and has been in performances at the Firehouse Five Theater in Livingston Montana. She has played guitar for seven years, and piano for three. Miss Horvath is currently looking for a strong band to back up her acoustic/alternative/folk style. But she has found that it’s almost as hard as finding a husband…which she hasn’t found yet either! Horvath performs every chance she gets. She has performed for the Noon Hour Guest Artist Series for the University of Montana, at three peace rallies, two Global Warming Awareness Benefit Concerts, a Suicide Prevention and Awarness Event, the Garden City Car Show, Love Your Mother Earth Festival, a show at the Elks Lodge, and at the Wilma Theater where thousands of big name artists have set foot on the stage in Missoula Montana. Open Mic Night at the Badlandar every Tuesday night was a favorite spot for the 22 year old artist until they were unable to prolong the open mic events. Sara plays with various local artists and is seen to enjoy diverse styles of music while collaborating with new musicians. She also plays at Sean Kelly’s in Missoula on Monday nights. She is available and always looking for shows and new opportunities to play with other musicians. Horvath placed as a top ten finalist for Miss Montana 2008, and she plans to comp[ete again next year for the title of Miss Montana and the opportunity to be Miss America. She has enjoyed these experiences, and highly reccamends participating in this scholarship program. She was able to perform her original song entitled, "Dream Come True", on a beautiful grand piano for over a thousand people! She can't wait for next year... Her album/demo that was recorded last January is called "Speechless". The featured song is Speechless, while "Dream Come True", and "Broken Quilt" are other favorites… She is currently recording a full-length cd, and in the process of making a music video!
