"Song Feature: Sarah Sellers' Brash New Track, 'F**k It It's Alright' The singer injects pop with one helluva slow-jam."

Dallas-based singer-songwriter Sarah Sellers doesn't try to hide behind a wall of sound. Instead, she utilizes the often-intoxicating and cataclysmic euphoria to her advantage and delivers a sweeping magnificence. Her brand new track Fuck It It's Alright is a slow-jam to put all other slow-jams to shame; she's not afraid to speak her mind and she does so sheepishly. In the music video, which dropped in August and has more than 33,000 views on YouTube, she melds together a melancholic vibe with a disco-ball dazzle. She's all in, and she invites you along for the ride.

Fuck It It's Alright is co-written with Jay Stolar. "I wrote this song during a very dark period of my life. I needed to write my release, something that would free me from the prison I had built within my own mind," Sellers says. "There comes a time when you have to accept the decisions you've made, relish in the growth that life can give you, and just say fuck it...everything really is going to be alright!"

The track (out today on iTunes) samples her forthcoming EP, expected in early 2017. A full-length record will follow later in the year. - PopDust

"Song of the Day: "F*** It It's Alright" by Sarah Sellers"

On August 8th, Texas based singer-songwriter Sarah Sellers released her latest single, “Fuck It It’s Alright”, on YouTube. With over 18k views and counting Sellers plans to release the single digitally on all major music distributors on Sept.16th.

“I wrote this song with the amazing Jay Stolar during a very dark period of my life. I needed to write my release, something that would free me from the prison I had built within my own mind. There comes a time when you have to accept the decisions you’ve made, relish in the growth that life can give you, and just say fuck it…everything really is going to be alright!”

The single was co-written with Brooklyn based singer-songwriter Jay Stolar and produced by Warner Chappell’s Noise Club, also based out of Brooklyn.

The Dallas, Texas-based singer-songwriter Sarah Sellers, has a voice that’s silken but with swagger. Her phrasing and vocal melodies are steeped in classic R&B and soul, but her songwriting, and overall vibe, evokes the intrepid realm of soulful electro pop. In addition to her appearance on American Idol: Season 10, other career highlights include appearing on the same stages as Grammy Award-winning artists Paula Cole and Monica, and gracing stages from Brazil to New York City.

Sarah was born a natural musical talent. At the tender age of six, she was captivating her parents, and anyone who would listen, with her pristine angelic vocals and performance smarts. By age 12, she was writing original music and performing on a grander scale. Soon she found herself on American Idol and being pursued by record labels. But it would take moving away from a life in music for her to truly discover her musical gifts. Now she comes forth harnessing her talent on her own terms with a sensual and very personal electro soul-pop aesthetic.

“I wrote this song during a very dark period of my life. I needed to write my release, something that would free me from the prison I had built within my own mind. There comes a time when you have to accept the decisions you’ve made, relish in the growth that life can give you, and just say fuck it… everything really is going to be alright!”

Take a look at Sellers’ music video below:

Overall I really enjoyed the song and music video. Sellers has such a soothing and amazing voice that it makes the song that great to listen to. The lyrics, blended with the instrumentals, make the song for me. As far as the music video is concerned, I really like the simplicity of the video. I would highly recommend this song to anyone who enjoys mellow and down to Earth music.
