Bio
I am a singer/ songwriter from Belchertown Massachusetts. I am a senior at Pioneer Valley Performing Arts High School (PVPA) where I have studied vocal technique, classical guitar, and songwriting with Rahul Roy, Mitch Chakour, and Phillip DeFremery.
In 2008, I won 1st place in an open mic competition at the Majestic Theater in Springfield MA. I also attended a five-day songwriting workshop at Berklee College of Music in 2008.
I am currently interning at a local community theater. There I have had opportunities to play with local musicians as well as gain valuable tips and advice from experienced performers. I recently performed my songs with two other singer / songwriters at the Performing Arts Center of Easthampton (P.A.C.E) event ‘Singers In The Round’.
I am influenced by alternative, folk, and original artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, and Andrew Bird.
I write about my experiences, observations, emotions, relationships, hardships, growth, and transformations. I have have been told that my lyrics are moving and thought provoking.
