For a third year, Ronan over at Swear I'm Not Paul and myself have been working on creating a list of 10 Irish acts in alphabetical order who we believe will make considerable progress towards world domination in the coming 12 months. Navan is such a great spot for new talent. Simon Fagan is busy making a name for himself worldwide while The Lost Brothers are hoping to build on their recent successes. Add to that artists like Joy Booth, Ruairi Coogan, Red Queen Contest and our pick of the bunch Saramai & The Sword. Saramai has been busy writing material for a debut album she hopes to release in 2011. Last year she has had some high profile support slots to Declan O'Rourke, Grada and Jack L. Listed in 2UI Bestow's top 50 on the basis of a demo Saramai & The Swords have been songwriting and gigging, gathering momentum supporting the likes of JackL, Declan O'Rourke, Fionn Regan, Kila and The Lost Brothers. They are now recording their debut . Comparisons to Drugstore and Tori Amos have been drawn. Come hear for yourself.
