Bio
Sara Mendoza was born in El Salvador, Central America. She grew up in a Christian home where she developed an interest for music under her fathers tutelage. She sang for the first time in public at the age of 4. In her early years her singing style was highly influenced by Crystal Lewis and Sandi Patti.
In April 2000, The Mendoza family moved to Canada where Sara learned to speak English and French.
In 2003, Sara was able to sing one of her fathers songs on live television in El Salvador.
Two years later, for her 15th birthday in June of 2005, Sara and her father worked on a home made EP titled There is a purpose in me which contained some of Edwins song compositions both in Spanish and in English. This EP was given out at her Quinceanera ceremony to every attending family.
In August 2007 Sara sang at a home baseball game both the American and Canadian national anthems.
Saras music portrays the passion for music and missions she has developed over the years. Her rock/acoustic/pop sound captures the minds of listeners and convicts them in specific areas of life. The burden she carries is one for her generation.
Sara started playing the guitar when she was 16, the bass and the drums when she was 17 and the piano when she was 18.
She has co-written songs with her brother Saul since 2006. She writes the lyrics and the melody, and her brother arranges the song.
Since 2000, Sara has been involved with over 10 bands of all kinds doing vocals - in the church, in her school and outside. She has been able to serve with praise and worship in numerous cities throughout North and Central America in Spanish, English and French, with her Dad and sometimes her brother Saul.
