Bio
saratuspersen (Indonesian: “a hundred percent”) is a unique musical group which was formed on September 1st, 2001 in Bandung, West Java. It fuses various musical genres with exotic instruments and colours from around the world.
The group combines Balinese instruments (pamade, kantil) with Western musical instruments such as drums, electric bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, bongo, rototom, timbales, percussion and violin. They also include Sundanese and African instruments in their performances, including the kendang (a Sundanese kick drum), the suling, a Sundanese bamboo flute), the tarompet (the Sundanese wood trumpet) and the African djembe
