S A Reyners

Surrey-based songwriter steeped in the melodic traditions of 20th century Brits, from The Hollies to Ash. Originally from New Zealand, Reyners has taken in recent dates with UK talent both emerging and established, including Francis & Boyd, Chris Helme (The Seahorses) and Mark Morriss (The Bluetones).

Through the contributions of internationally acclaimed producers Kevin Paul (David Bowie, Ed Sheeran) and Pete Maher (U2), across mixing and mastering respectively, Reyners arrives at the close of 2013 with new single 'The Other Way'.

Without compromising on economy, the track is diverting in its multi-contoured trajectory, leaning into corners before pivoting on a minor chord and busting a gut across the song's final fifth, namely the raised key chorus which sees it out. A bold excursion across power pop and 60s Detroit soul set to a punky Anglo-new wave backdrop.
