Biography

Sarp Maden was born in Istanbul on 1968. He started playing the piano at the age of 15. He went to Saint Joseph High school between 1979-1987 and studied Psychology at the Bosphorus University between 1987-1990. He finally studied at the Music department of Bilkent University between 1990-1991.

So far he has worked with a huge number of Turkish and International musicians such as: Cengiz Baysal, Eylem Pelit, Turgut Alp Bekoglu, Volkan Öktem, Alp Ersönmez, Genco Ari, Ali Perret, Yahya Dai, Sibel Köse, Okay Temiz, Çaglayan Yildiz, Imer Demirer, Engin Recepogullari, Matt Hall, Derin Bayhan, Erkan Ogur, Serkan Özyilmaz, Alper Yilmaz, Mike Mc Ginnis, Nick Kadajski, Dave Binney, Sabri Tulug Tirpan, Jef Giansily, Çagri Sertel, Kagan Yildiz, Ferit Odman, Stephane Belmondo, Dan Moretti, Emre Kartari, Bilal Karaman, James Lewis, Ricky Ford, Ilkin Deniz..
Besides playing at Istanbul Jazz Festival and Akbank Jazz Festival he has also played in France, Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece, Slovakia and Georgia.
